Deadline Day for Premier League - 01/02/2022

Premier League's January era ended at today's early minutes. Some teams have transferred great players and some teams have failed. These article includes all of deadline day's transfer interactions. 


Arsenal has tried a lot for add a midfielder and a striker. But they couldn't do that. First of all, they've forced to sign a striker in that days. Those strikers were Dusan Vlahovic, Victor Osimhen, Ollie Watkins and Raul de Tomas. Arsenal board were ready about break their limits for Dusan Vlahovic. But Juventus were ready too and they've signed him immediately. Also Osimhen and Watkins have rejected Arsenal's offer too. But the last one was unexpectable for the Gunners. 

Arsenal board have connected with Espanyol board for de Tomas' sign. But the Catalan team haven't negotiate with them. They've just wanted de Tomas' release clause which is €62m. And the North London team has decided to stay with Lacazette until the end of season. The Gunners' fans were devastated on this transfer era. They didn't sign with anyone.


Tottenham has opened their January presents in the deadline day. They've signed Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski yesterday from Juventus. Swedish attacking midfielder has costed around €40m with his must buying option and renting clause which is expensive than Bentancur. Spurs have paid €19m for the Uruguay international. 

When Spurs have bought that Juventus' players, they've sold Dele Alli to Everton, and loaned Gil and Lo Celso. That players haven't reach to Conte's squad limits and their story has ended or taken a break.

Man City

Man City signed River's wonderkid striker Julian Alvarez which costed €22m. He'll stay on River Plate until the end of season. The Argentine youngster was a favorite scouted player for Pep Guardiola. He thinks Alvares will take a key role on his system. Also they've beaten ManU on that transfer. They've battled for Alvarez when he was scouted for the both teams. 


Everton has changed their squad's whole system on that era. They've signed Mykolenko and Patterson when the early days of the January era. But they've stopped until the end of that period. That silence was related with the new manager's hiring processes. They've appointed Frank Lampard on that role, and they've finished immediately Lampard's shopping list. Donny van de Beek and Dele Alli have signed Everton on deadline day. They've signed permanently with Alli, and paid nothing right now. They'll pay with long-time options to Spurs which was related with bonus, performance fee and etc. 

Everton has almost finished their transfer list on that days, but they couldn't add a central defender on their squad. They've connected Kim Min-jae from Fenerbahçe and Dan Burn from Brighton. Burn has signed Newcastle, and Min-jae stayed in Turkey.


Brigton has sold Dan Burn to Newcastle on the deadline day. They've earned €15m from that sign, but they didn't add any defender on that days. The rumours said, Graham Potter will try Joel Veltman on that position. They've just added one player on that period which he'll join at summer '22. They've bought Deniz Undav from Union Saint-Gilloise which costed €7m. The German - Turkish striker has scored 19 goals and 10 assists on this season and his team leading on Belgium Jupiler League.
